Change of use permission to turn restaurants and cafes into take-aways 

This statement sets out the Government’s intent to allow pubs and restaurants to operate as hot food takeaways during the coronavirus outbreak.  

This is for food services only as drink involves additional licensing rules. The priority remains to help provide food for people in self-isolation, as well as helping businesses remain active.
